To my powerful girlfriends, who juggle a dozen different hats during the course of a single day. It’s a talent we have practiced to perfect over the course of our entire life. We wear a “service hat” that impacts the world through our work. We wear a “guides hat” to inspire the expressive lives of the little ones who remind us so much of ourselves, good and bad. We also wear a “partner hat” navigating life with a human who is built very differently.
We are in love with our hats. We chose those hats. It takes a lot of focus to keep all of the hats in the air at the same time. We tell ourselves it is worth the intense focus. People have told us we make it look so easy. We think, we have set the bar. We are inspiring other women to do the same.
And yet, when we crawl into bed at night, we are exhausted and depleted. Most of us are interrupted by midnight callings from the little ones, even some with fur. Our sleep is interrupted from oblivious snoring partners on the other side of the bed or simply the lists of To-Do’s running through our mind for the following day.
We see those women on the social channels that always speak of self-care and living a balanced life. Its hard not to get resentful towards them. “Obviously, they don’t have as many hats as I do. Now, you want me to put on a “self-care hat”? Yea right, I am barely holding it together as it is!” There is a little voice in our head that convinces us that “self-care is selfish”. This lie even likes to rub it in. “You chose your hats. They are your responsibility. They will fall if you don’t keep focused.”
Overtime, our health starts taking the toll from our little hat game. The doctors start using terms like, auto-immune, adrenal fatigue and even cancer. Reality starts kicking in. Our perfect hat game is no longer working. Our own lives are at stake because of our hat game.
Friends, I went into practice to stand up for us. To make US a priority. In my treatment room, there are no little ones, with fur or without demanding your attention. There are no lists of To-Do’s. There are no partners with their strange ways of existing. There are no doctors and tests affirming the lies you tell yourself that “you are not enough”. There are no worries about pandemics or the future. In my treatment room, it is about nurturing you.
I created the Spiritual Care Body Treatment specifically for you. It focuses on meeting you where you are today and nourishing the spirit of you. Using prayer & intention, I create a treatment of essential oils and organic skin care products to perform arm, shoulder, neck, scalp & foot massage techniques to increase blood flow, decrease tension & soften your spirit. Applying my background in esthetics, a three-step anti-aging eye, décolletage (chest) & hand treatment will also be included in this unique service. If self-care is new to you, I may send you home with one or two easy ideas to incorporate into your current life.
You will leave feeling blissed-out, reenergized, filled, nurtured & cared for in a truly special way. This in turn will give you a new lease on life to love your hats and people in your care even more. My hope is that your “self-care hat” becomes as important as the other hats in your life. I believe we cannot give what we don’t have. No one benefits from exhaustion and depletion.
I look forward to meeting you in the treatment room soon!
