One of the most common skin care habits is washing our face by using our soapy hands to rub our skin.
For this mistake, I like to share the example of brushing your teeth with your finger. It is great when you are camping and you forgot your toothbrush, but will not clean well enough to prevent cavities.
Our skin is porous, and a lot of dirt and debris from the toxins in the air and the make-up we use will get stuck in our pores causing blackheads, pimples and worse acne problems.
The Solution: A gentle terry wash cloth is fibrous enough to get into our pores and pull out all the dirt and debris that cause many of our pimple problems.
How To: Apply a creamy cleanser for your skin type and use a gentle terry wash cloth in small, upward, circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Feel free to focus on the areas with the largest looking pores. You don't have to scrub too hard. Rinse off the remaining cleanser and toss the cloth in the laundry. Remember to use a clean cloth each time. Reapplying moldy dirt doesn't help our skin health. Finish by using a moisturizer for your skin type.
